A-State Athletic Director Terry Mohajir was interviewed on A-State Nation Radio the Friday before the Fan Appreciation Day scrimmage, and he discussed facilities improvements and confirmed that all the box suites planned in the press box expansion project have been sold, and that the other remaining two are reserved for the visiting AD, and Mohajir himself for fund raising purposes.
We’ll be making an announcement soon about Centennial Expansion, which will be the west side expansion, we’ll be increasing bathroom space, point of sale for concessions, we’ve got the first phase of that, also new premium areas, new broadcast areas, new media areas, new club areas, all kinds of awesome things going on . . .
And Mohajir followed with the 2015 Mizzou game location “tell”:
Well, you know, we talk about, you know, what it’s gonna take, you know this has been a great catalyst, the Missouri game, talking about the Missouri game, it has been a phenomenal catalyst to have great conversations with our most ardent supporters – and what it’s gonna take to put us in that group of 5 peer, our peer group which is group of 5, put us in that level of building facilities and building our budget. And, you know, as always, our fan base will never let us down. We’ve got, I believe, we need to grow our numbers, but as far as our core fan base, I wouldn’t trade them for any fan base in America.
Masterful “move Missouri” motivation, Mohajir. Just masterful!
