UPDATE 9/10/14 – After listening to Coach Anderson’s weekly live radio show, it looks like Keith’s injury news isn’t as bad as feared.
Anderson on Daniel Keith – probably 4 to 5 to 6 weeks recovery on him. From what I gather it is a high ankle sprain.

The coaching staff provided information on the injured Red Wolves at Monday’s weekly press conference. McKissic(shoulder), Gordon(ribs), and Q Lee(ribs) are day to day. They could be game day decisions. Freshman OL Daniel Keith has a lower leg issue, and Anderson said he was better yesterday, but was unclear on whether it was an ankle sprain or a break. It was previously rumored to have been a broken leg. Won’t likely play against Miami, but too early to rule him out for the season.
On OL Daniel Keith, still not sure. Says it’s an ankle, but ‘break, tear, still not sure.’ — Troy Schulte (@TroySchulteADG) September 8, 2014
Freshman DE Jonah Hill is awaiting confirmation of an ACL injury, and is probably out for the season. Junior Safety Chris Humes has a torn bicep, and could be out most of the season. Money Hunter will step into start for Humes, per DC Joe Cauthen.
Anderson: Jonah Hill (possible torn ACL) done for the season and Chris Humes (torn bicep) is out for a while

Humes, Keith, and Hill would all be candidates for medical hardship waivers if they do not return this year. That might enable them to get the extra year of eligibility.
TE Kenny Rains missed the Tennessee game with a knee injury suffered against Montana State. He’s not expected back until conference play in October, at the earliest.
