Mohajir offered McCasland a 50K raise to 400K and another year on his deal before he found out about McCasland having mutual interest with North Texas. Arkansas State Athletic Director Terry Mohajir was on 95.3 the ticket this afternoon and discussed the North End Zone Project and adding seats in the corners on that end of the stadium so that it will be a horseshoe.

Word has leaked out that Arkansas State’s men’s basketball head coach will be Baylor assistant Grant McCasland. McCasland is in his 5th season as an assistant on Scott Drew’s staff at Baylor. Prior to that he had been a successful head coach at Midland College (JUCO) and Midwestern State (Division II) – amassing a 199-44

Connor Kern got his first start as a Red Wolf but the freshman only logged 4 points in 18 minutes and was 0 for 2 from three point range. His sharp shooting wasn’t needed in this one however, as 5 players were in double figures as the Red Wolves cruised to a 104-71 point victory.
