A-State Head Coach Blake Anderson fields questions at the weekly Sun Belt coaches teleconference on Monday, following the Utah State overtime victory.
He discusses the Charleston Girley wrist injury. He’s played with it in a cast for two games, but will have it looked at by a specialist because it might not be healing like expected. If he has to have surgery, he’s obviously gone for the year, and Khari Lain moves up the depth chart at nickleback behind Frankie Jackson.
Per Arkansas State, Red Wolves’ nickelback Charleston Girley is out for the season. Played vs. Utah State with cast on wrist.

Anderson expects to have Michael Gordon and possibly Kenny Rains back against ULM, after the bye week. Daniel Keith is still several weeks away, if he’ll be back at all this season. Kyle Harris is nursing an old shoulder problem, and is day to day.
No new significant injuries.
